Get Hooked on Positive Activities Ltd. is a passionate social enterprise, dedicated to helping the general public. Specialising in supporting the disabled and troubled individuals with a broad range of guidance and activities. I came on board for a short period as technical support, creative design and development. Delivering marketing materials, and building the company website.
It's been a valued experience working with the enthusiastic staff and building a positive relationship among troubled youths. It has made a huge impact on whatever new media project I've worked on since with embracing the importance of accessibility. Especially sharing ideas have give rise to new inventive activities to encourage better personal confidence in the groups.
Website design test was created along the way whilst learning Joomla as their existing content management system. It was indeed challenging due to being used to WordPress, though creating the visual templates where a lot easier than I thought. So the link (above) just shows a basic layout and different colour schemes to quickly flip through.
Upon publishing their website, I deliberately transferred and tidied up all existing articles from their previous site for added history. Plus so they can continue to build up more publications of their continued success. Also additional features were implemented to make the release site more user-friendly for various health disabilities.
